Collection: Boho Throw Pillows

Handwoven Moroccan throw pillows — wool, cotton, cactus silk. 18" × 18", direct from artisan workshops.

What makes our throw pillows authentic

Each boho Moroccan pillow is handwoven on traditional wooden looms by artisans whose families have woven for generations. We don't source mass-produced "moroccan pillow" knockoffs — every piece in this collection comes from a specific workshop in Morocco or Mali.

Materials include hand-crushed wool (Couscous, Zanafi), cactus silk extracted thread by thread (Sabra), and hand-dyed cotton (Mudcloth, Pom Pom).

How to style boho throw pillows

Layer in odd numbers: 3 on a sofa, 3 on a queen bed, 5 on a king. The Moroccan boho rule: pair one bold patterned pillow (Mudcloth, Sabra) with two textured neutrals (Couscous wool, Zanafi). All our throw pillows are 18" × 18" so they layer cleanly.

Frequently asked questions about Moroccan throw pillows

Are throw pillow inserts included?

No — covers only. We recommend a 19" insert for an 18" × 18" cover for the fullest, most luxurious look.

Can I machine-wash a Moroccan throw pillow?

No. The natural plant and mineral dyes can bleed in a washing machine. Spot-clean with cold water or have it dry-cleaned.

Why do my pillows look slightly different from the photos?

Because they're handwoven. Tonal variation, slight pattern asymmetry, and looser knits are signatures of authentic handcraft — not defects. Mass-produced pillows are perfectly uniform; ours are not, by design.

How many throw pillows should I have on my bed?

3 for a Queen, 5 for a King — always odd numbers, in graduated sizes. Place sleeping pillows behind, decorative throws in front.

Whether you call them boho pillows, boho throw pillows, or Moroccan throw pillows, every piece in this collection is hand-finished.
