Why French flax linen?

We source 100% French flax linen — grown in Normandy, the world's premier flax-growing region. The long fibers are stronger and smoother than other linen sources. Our linen is then woven in a family-run mill in northern Portugal using traditional looms.

Why stonewashed?

Most linen feels stiff straight off the loom. We pre-wash every piece in a stone-tumble process that breaks down the fibers gently — so your linen bedding arrives soft, supple, and ready to sleep on. No "breaking-in" period. The naturally crinkled texture means no ironing.

Linen bedding lasts decades

Linen is two times more durable than cotton — and our pieces get softer with every wash without losing strength. Many of our customers still use sets they bought 8-10 years ago. The naturally hypoallergenic, antibacterial, biodegradable fiber is also better for the planet (linen uses 60% less water to grow than cotton).

Frequently asked questions about linen bedding

Is linen bedding worth it?

Yes for hot sleepers, allergy-prone people, and anyone who wants bedding that lasts decades. Linen gets softer with every wash and naturally regulates temperature year-round.

Linen vs cotton bedding — which is better?

Linen breathes more, lasts longer, and ages beautifully. Cotton is initially smoother and crisper. For long-term value and year-round comfort, linen wins.

Are stonewashed linen sheets soft?

Yes — the stonewash pre-softens the fibers. They feel supple from day one and continue softening with each wash.

Do linen bedding wrinkles go away?

No — and that's the look. The naturally crinkled texture is the lived-in luxury aesthetic. No ironing needed.

How do I wash linen bedding?

Machine wash gentle, cold water, mild detergent. Tumble dry low or hang. Skip fabric softener — it coats fibers and reduces breathability.
